Jona, thank you so much for putting this together. It made my heart swell and yes, hurt, but it is good.

Rest in Peace, Dear Remy. Your twinkling eyes will light up your new space.

Jona, this website is lovely, and I enjoyed seeing the photos. My heart goes out to you on the passing of your father. I’ll remember his warm smile!

The world is diminished without Remy. How sad.

Jona, Thank you for sharing. Bitter sweet. Love to see the photos of his family and his colorful shirts! Sad I won’t see or chat with him again… He visits me in my dreams now 🙂

This is the poem that I wrote for the memorial:
    I had a Grandpa Remy
He’s amazing I have to say
He knew lots of types of art
He taught me how to work with clay
    He took lots of photos
    Everywhere he went
He did lots of cool cool things
His life was one well spent

Thanks for creating this space to remember Remy. I got to know Remy at the La Canada Community Pottery Center. Remy didn’t sugar coat his remarks or gestures, nor did he hold back his humor, this was true in his pottery and in the conversations we had. Fortunately, I was able to collect a few “REMY” pieces and they have travelled with me from abode to adobe. Remy had a stamp set that he used on some pieces to sign his name “REMY”. The little bottles he made on the wheel are some of my favorite pieces, which I still try to emulate.
